Happy Birthday to Moo!!

Has it really been nearly a year? jeez time goes by so

quickly these days! To kick start my blogging again

I've made a card for a very special friend :o)

 

It was Kaz's birthday yesterday and this is the card I made

for her. Hope you had a really fab day moobag x x x

 

I also made this tag for no particular reason other than waiting

for the washing machine to finish it's cycle at stupid 'o' clock

last night, thanks to my wonderful daughter deciding her uniform

needed washing after she'd been away this weekend lol.

It's nice to be back crafting again :o)

Birthday Card

A quick card I've made for my soon to be mother in law.

It's her Birthday on Sunday and I almost forget! lol

It's going to be a slow summer.

Having no car is an absolute nightmare when you

live in a small village with no shop. It's funny how

you take a car so much for granted until it's gone!

I'm stuck in the house until it's fixed so I've been

doing housework! I know, I must be bored lol.

So once the house was spick and span I thought I'd

make a quick birthday card.

The 21 is embossed in black but you can't really see

it in the pic, not really had the light recently with the

pants weather to get a decent photo sadly. Really

hope we get some better weather soon :o)

For a challenge long ago..

Karin set us a challenge a while ago to make

a tag using a stamp we've not used before.

I only remembered this challenge when Kaz

blogged her tag pmsl (sorry Karin) so got to

work on making mine.

Background was made using acrylic paints

and dazzling metallics and both stamps are

ones I've not used before :o)

I'd say click on the image for a closer look but

it doesn't seem to want to work today lol

Autumn in Summer..

It's gorgeous weather outside, so I decided

to make an Autumnal canvas.. obviously lol

I'm not sure it's quite finished yet, it needs

something... maybe some words but I shall

leave it as it is for now :o)

Sunny Weather and no housework..

It's been so beautiful here for the last week that I've

rather neglected my housework so today as it's dull

and drizzly I decided to tackle it all. I started by

making a cuppa, sitting down to contemplate

where to begin and ended up messing around

with digital images and photo's on the pc all

morning lol Ah well.. there's always tomorrow!!

The tree is a photo I took while we were in Scotland

at the beginning of May which I've messed around

with in PSP.. Needless to say it was a far nicer way

to spend my morning than doing HW :o)

Ballet Girl..

Seona set us another great challenge and

this time it was to alter and use this image

of a ballet girl. Thanks Seona for another

great challlenge :o)

Wednesday Stamper - Bella Italia

It's been so long since I last did a challenge so

I thought I'd get back in the saddle by

having a go at Wednesday Stamper this week.

The theme is 'Bella Italia' and here's my entry :o)

The image I've used is from freefoto.com and is

of the Trevi Fountain in Rome.

apologies for the photo's. just couldn't seem to get

a decent one today lol

Bits and Bobs...

Seona set us another great challenge to make anything

we liked with the bits and bobs she sent to us, including

some lovely papers lol

I decided to make a tag for this one, think I threw

everything but the kitchen sink at it lol but I'm

quite happy with how it turned out.

Matchbox

I can't believe this is my first post of 2009 and it's

March already! where's the start of the year gone?

We've all settled well into our new home and I'm

now hoping I'll get more time to craft, I really have

missed it!

I altered this matchbox for a challenge Seona set us back

in January. I'm only now blogging it as I lost the pics tut.

It's the first thing I'd made since well before christmas

and I really enjoyed getting my fingers inky again.

Craft Away a Sunday - Cute!

Over at Craft Away A Sunday this week the theme is

'Cute' and is hosted by Sarah.

The scrapbook page is of my eldest daughter Sophie

who was 8yrs old at the time and Youngest daughter

Freya who was about 3 weeks old... Can't believe she's

just started full time school!! Time certainly flies!!

New Challenge Blog!

There's a new challenge blog called Craft Away A Sunday .

Every Sunday will bring a new challenge and in many

different styles as it is made up of a design team with

varied styles of crafting.. The first theme is 'Halloween'.

Here is my entry for this week :o)

Stampboard and an Award...

I have a few lovely tree stamps and as boredom

took over on Thursday I decided to make 6 little

stampboard pieces to go together in my bathroom.

This is the first, so far that's all I've done lol but will

hopefully finish them all over the weekend.

Decided to use both pics as it looks so different in

in different light. The first was just natural light and

the second was taken under my daylight lamp.

and I've been given an award....

Mixed Media Monday - Rust

This week over at Mixed Media Monday the theme

is 'Rust' and is hosted by my friend Gillian who's done

an amazing sample piece for her chosen theme. I decided

to alter this tin and make it into a memory box for this

weeks challenge, think I threw everything in my craft

cupboard at it lol and I hope it looks a bit rusty :o)

This week over at Make A Moo Or Two the theme is

'Mona Lisa and friends' and here is my enty :o)

A Canvas or Two...

This was my first attempt at a canvas using

acrylics, metalic paints and some gold leaf.

I'd had made it for something else but Kaz

saw it and so it's now in sunny Scotland lol.

Swing High...

I can't believe it's nearly the end of June already, this

year is flying by!! I made this piece for a COF and also

for Mixed Media Monday where the theme this week

is 'Places' .. my place is swinging in the garden which

I spent hours doing as a child :o)

The photo's aren't great sorry, after what felt like the

50th attempt I went with the first two lol
